In this paper, the hairpin method is applied to an Electric Vehicle (EV) driving motor with a stator winding designed round copper wire. The secure high space factor by using wire instead of for winding. applicable model 300kW Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM), and cooling water cooling. current density has proportional relationship thermal characteristics, in case wire, lowering as stranded used. However, when applied, it expected that will be low area conductor increased, but reality, not most cases. Accordingly, characteristics are supplemented oil rather than method. characteristic change analyzed same process applying from sequentially described, changes main electromagnetic compared analyzed. Additionally, selecting operating point, also study, analysis based on finite element (FEM)-based simulation.
